Dance Company Auditions
The purpose of this project is to provide dancers who are disciplined and ready to perform with a company the opportunity to expedite the process. It is also with the intention of supporting choreographers, the development of new work and what is always at the center of Pizarts' projects...to support cultural exchange initiatives through our common love for DANCE!
What To Expect As A Company Member
Dancers can expect to have a great balance of company time and free time. Dancers live together in the same residential facility Bronx Artist Residency, where they will share common areas, have access to marley floored studios, t.v monitors, a main gallery studio, art studio, and garden. Dancers also have the opportunity to volunteer teach with youth dancers as well as volunteer in the garden with the BAR neighborhood committee. Rehearsals and workshops will happen throughout the city so dancers will become acclimated with the various boroughs of New York and traveling via public transportation.
What We Are Looking For
We are looking for dancers who typically dance 10-15 hours a week of rehearsal and or training. Have experience performing on stage. Can pick up choreography quickly, feel comfortable with improvisation and are open to learning various styles including World Dance forms. Dancers are expected to feel comfortable performing solo and group works.
