CREATED BY NICK GREEN
This is a site for celebrating artists and the work that has been cancelled/delayed/disrupted. So far, submissions have included clips from rehearsals, scenes done with cast-mates over webcam, recordings from previous workshops, design plans, and performers just doing the song they were really excited about singing into their webcam. It doesn’t need to be anything formal or polished!
THREE MAIN GOALS WITH THIS PROJECT:
1) It helps to get some of the great work that you’ve done out to the world, and projects that were cancelled get the word of mouth that they missed out on;
2) We are able to keep feeling a sense of artistic community, even from our living rooms, and;
3) Artists are able to continue to engage with their projects by making videos, sharing work, and celebrating the work of others.
Please go to the Submit section of the site to send something to be included!
Digital performances prompted by the corona virus outbreak,
curated by Brendan Drake & Kate Ladenheim
LOOKING FOR: New works to be created during self-isolation to be shared on digital/remote platforms. These works should be based on a COVID-19 act of bravery — which we define as something normally routine or usual that has become charged, taboo, or unsafe in light of the coronavirus outbreak.
Works will be made available starting Monday, March 30th and released throughout quarantine.
Each work will be $5 to view, with discounts available for those who purchase multiple works.
Proceeds will be distributed among participating artists as follows:
40% to be split between Brendan and Kate for organizational and creative contributions
60% to be split evenly among all participating artists. Artists will work closely and collaboratively with Kate and Brendan to adapt their work to our digital platform while staying true to their creative integrity.
